Komodo Whitepaper:

You need to get some notary nodes in place (or get the KMD notaries to notarize). If no notary nodes are notarizing it will be a weak chain.

Then ./komodod -ac_name=ASSET -ac_supply=<number of assets>

Above will launch the assetchain.

Question:
Can I launch multiple currencies on one notary node? Or it’s one notary node per asset chain?

Answer:
Its N notary nodes (up to 64) as a group, and you can probable run 50+ assetchains.

Q:
Can these assets be listed on exchanges like Poloniex, Bittrex?

A:
Yes. For example WLC (Wirelesscoin) is trading on Cryptopia.

Q:
How can I include these assets in the exchange within supernet?

A:
Once you get an assetchain live, just submit a pull request (or let me know the symbol) and I can add it to the list of active coins.

Q:
The mining is done on the asset chain itself, I guess. How do I setup mining? Can I use existent hashing power somewhere to mine the coin?

A:
Just run nodes with -gen, that activates mining, but you will want notary nodes notarizing to KMD chain to get the security of bitcoin.

Q:
I presume I can use the Agama wallet to store these new cryptos?

A:
Agama uses the list of active coins to display the choices in the dropdown

Q:
Can I extend the functionality of the assetchain or is it completely coupled to Komodo?

A:
Currently you would need to fork the Komodo code to add new functionality, but later this year we are planning to make it much easier to add enhancements via linked in library files.

Q:
And people need to specific mine my coin or they can just mine komodo?

A:
Only people who run your coin would run your coin, things are isolated.

Q:
Can I create a custom wallet for my coins?

A:
Sure, Agama is open source, along with swing wallet.
